Originally established by Disney in the 1990s, Celebration was intended to be a successor to EPCOT, Walt Disney's proposed master-planned community. The plan was originally developed by Driehaus Prize winners, and it also features civic buildings by some of the most famous architects in the world. Today, Celebration is no longer affiliated with Disney and is broken down into smaller "villages," each of which features its own distinct locale. The area also has its own Downtown district, year-round events, and more than 500 registered businesses.
Nearby attractions
If you want to be close to everything the Orlando area has to offer, you can't beat Celebration's ideal location near Walt Disney World Resort, Kissimmee, and the Orlando International Airport. It's not uncommon to see Celebration residents letting loose at one of Disney's countless theme parks, including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. Disney World isn't the only major attraction near Celebration—the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Old Town Theme Park are just a few more highlights.
Shopping and dining
Though all the amenities, attractions, and businesses of Orlando are just a short drive away, Celebration features plenty of top-notch shopping and dining of its own. Public schools
Students in Celebration are served by the School District of Osceola County, Florida. This district boasts more than 61,000 total students and operates two institutions in Celebration: the Celebration School (K–8) and Celebration High. The Montessori Academy of Celebration and Stetson University provide options for private education. Free classes in cooking, gardening, art, writing, and technology are offered at the Celebration Community Center.

Parks and recreation

Neighborhoods
Celebration is divided into a number of smaller neighborhoods, known to locals as villages. The first phrase of Celebration was completed in 1996 and includes Celebration Village, West Village, and Lake Evalyn. This was later followed by North Village, South Village, East Village, Aquila Reserve, and the final Artisan Park phases. In addition to the community's original villages, you can still find newer developments throughout Celebration.

Thanks to its ideal location near Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, and a number of major universities, Celebration boasts a vast number of job opportunities for its residents.
